January 2025 Newsletter

What an incredible year it's been! I’m truly honoured to have had the chance to work with so many great people. Reflecting on this past year, I can’t help but appreciate the importance of having someone you can trust by your side. Who you choose to work with really does make all the difference.

Partnerships built on trust and reliability are the foundation of what I do. This year, I was fortunate to collaborate with a talented group of real estate professionals, lenders, inspectors, contractors, lawyers, and other service providers. Each brought something special, creating a team effort that directly contributed to the success of the people we served. It’s a testament to what can be achieved with genuine commitment and care.

I'm so grateful to everyone who supported my business this year. Your referrals of family and friends were invaluable, and I cannot thank you enough for your trust and belief in my process, systems and market experience. You made an incredible impact—not just on my business, but on me personally. The connections we share, the relationships we’ve built—those are what matter most.

I can't wait to see what opportunities lie ahead in 2025, as well as continuing to serve and support you in the year to come! If you have questions regarding your property or the market, please reach out to me. I'll be happy to provide you with the latest real estate-related information, such as what buyers are looking for, how to increase your home's value, or the current market value of your property.

Preventing an Unwanted Houseguest: Mould

Mould loves moisture, thus controlling moisture in your home is the best way to stave it off. Left unchecked, mould can cause allergies and asthma attacks, so what should you do to prevent it from developing in the first place?
  1. Pat dry damp surfaces like bathroom tiles after a shower. Wash your shower curtains regularly. Spores can develop within 24 hours in wet conditions.

  2. Run the exhaust fan in your bathroom after showering and in your kitchen when cooking.

  3. Heat your home sufficiently in the winter to help avoid condensation. If you notice condensation around your windows wipe it dry, and stop or severely limit the use of a humidifier.

  4. Cover your pots when cooking whenever possible.

  5. Seal any gaps around windows, doors, and electrical outlets.

  6. Immediately fix any leaky pipes or faucets.

  7. Use a dehumidifier. For convenience, get one that automatically turns on when the humidity exceeds 60 percent.

  8. Open the windows to circulate the air when you’re not running your furnace or AC.

  9. Set a reminder on your phone when doing laundry, so you don’t leave wet clothes in the washing machine or dryer.

  10. When renovating, use mould-resistant products that can be found in materials like drywall and insulation.

When it comes to mould, prevention is far easier than removing it, so consider it worth the time and thought.
