How's your summer going so far? It's crazy to think we're into August already! I enjoyed some downtime in July with my family at Elk Ridge Resort and Waskesiu. It’s tough for us all to get together these days so I was happy for the time we had. This summer I helped my daughter and her boyfriend purchase their first home in Regina. I loved all the time I got to spend with them on their journey, and it’s been fun watching them settle in. My son is gearing up for an adventure out west for the next chapter of his education at Vancouver Island University. Big changes, milestones, and plenty to look forward to in the months ahead!
Professionally, a heated real estate market in Regina has got me on the run, presenting interesting opportunities and challenges for both buyers and sellers. For buyers, low inventory levels mean strong competition, with properties moving quickly once they hit the market. Finding the right home requires swift decision making and a clear strategy. For sellers, the current demand offers an excellent opportunity to maximize equity and secure strong returns on their properties.
Navigating these dynamic market conditions requires careful planning and informed guidance. If you’re wondering how this market might impact your own goals, I’d be glad to help. Whatever your goals, we can discuss strategies tailored to your situation and needs. Give me a call, or click here to access my online calendar and set up a time that works best for you.
In the meantime, let’s hope time slows down a bit so we can all savour the final weeks of summer ☀️

Home Sellers: Can You Pass the "60 Second Test"? |
|
|
Would you believe that it takes just 60 seconds for potential buyers to form a lasting impression of your home? In about a minute, they’ll decide whether your home feels like "the one". These details will capture potential buyer’s attention from the moment they arrive.

Curb Appeal: Your home’s exterior is the first thing buyers see. Keep the landscaping tidy, touch up the exterior paint, and make sure your front door looks inviting. Cleanliness: A clean home puts buyers at ease. Dust, vacuum, declutter, and ensure every nook and cranny shines. No signs of neglect should be visible. The Smell Test: Avoid lingering odors from pets, cooking, or anything else that might distract buyers. Fresh, neutral scents are a safe bet. Temperature: Make it comfortable, your home shouldn’t be too warm or too cold. Lighting: Raise the blinds, pull back the curtains, and turn on lights. Bright, welcoming spaces create a warm and happy vibe. Cords and chargers: Tidy up cables, power cords, and chargers. Visible cords can give the impression of clutter, even if the space is clean. Pets: Remove visible signs of pets such as beds, toys, and bowls. Vacuum any stray pet hair and, if possible, take your pet with you during showings. Overall vibe: Remove personal photographs and excessive decor. Buyers should be able to envision themselves living in the home. Simplify and create a clean slate. |
